The Foucault Pendulum Project at Kesteven and Sleaford Girl's High School
In association with the Howard Trust and Siemens, Lincolnshire County Council and Trent Valley Construction, Kesteven and Sleaford High School has great pleasure in announcing the development of a Foucault Pendulum within the school, set to orbit into motion on 31st March 2007, exactly 106 years after the first pendulum was set in motion in the Pantheon in Paris by Jean Bernard-Leon Foucault.
With a team of dedicated engineers from Siemens, artist Henry Amos of Glass Arc, and the kind contributions from the Howard Trust and aforementioned parties, work is about to begin on this interactive exhibition of science meeting the arts where graphics and precision engineering will culminate in a technological achievement both for the school and the local area of Sleaford in Lincolnshire
